...Don't go into the tall grass!

Not that I condone the usage of that word, but I felt it certainly applied since I sent an e-mail containing this image to all my grad school professors when I saw the syllabus and the required readings for the semester. But I'ma do it all regardless, cuz I figure @ this point, it's far too late to start BSing around with school. That $4.5k needs to be put to good use, the state isn't paying for my education anymore.

Most people should be well aware I'm a TA for first year arch. students in a drawing course. They should've never gave me power like that. Although no lie, @ first I felt mad awkward having to show people how to do something properly - and putting people on the spot and whatnot in both good and bad ways. Had to repress my natural Herc urges around those female first years though. They were born in '91! But def gonna try to pull out (/no MJ) a different character in each lesson. Show up in my black bathrobe and talk like Alan Rickman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6s6A1tsavo
But I suppose I'm there to help and offer constructive criticism. Can't be an asshole and treat these kids like crap, and make 'em drop out of architecture. But I WILL NOT TOLERATE INSUBORDINATION. One ninja, this straight outta Hialeah kid came up and asked me, "You're a TA, right? So you draw this." Brought him up to the front of the class, drew the freehand line drawing (it was of your own hand) well, and made him sit in the front and draw it til he got it right. The professor thought it was a good idea. Severus Snape indeed. Now they're teachin me how to create and grade quizzes. Run for your lives, kids!

PS - the word Lyceum is an ancient Greek word for school, educational institution, etc. And Orbis non Sufficit is my motto, in Latin - the world is not enough. And so I leave you with the wondrous insight of my man Charles, who has the most upstanding moral values:
